COVID-19 in Florida

The COVID-19 has hit every part of the United States. Large and small cities, none have been untouched. All have been affected. COVID-19 has affected everyone's way of life, both large and small businesses. But, probably taking the biggest hits are the small, family-owned businesses.

Coming from a small town and seeing how each business has been affected is unreal. Many are mom and pop restaurants that have had to let go of their already small staff. Like most states, Florida, as of April 3, has Stay-at-home orders. But many businesses felt the pressure of this before the governor making this decision. Businesses were told to limit the amount of customers they had in the dining area. As we learned more about the COVID-19 new regulations went out, and soon they were told to have take-out, pick up and delivery only. No more eating at your favorite restaurant.

But not only were restaurants affected by this, small office businesses too. No one should be allowed in the office and if meetings need to be made they should be limited, by appointment only. Office staff have been sent home. Businesses have had to make their employees work from home.

Personally, I know of a few businesses/ offices that have been affected and this pandemic is taking a toll on everyone. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Yes, there always is as long as we all work together.
